세종시 중심상업지내 최북단에 위치한 사이트는 어반 아트리움으로 이어지는 ‘도시’와 금강을 타고 흐르는 제천천의 ‘자연’이 만나는 접경지로, 도시와 자연의 경계에 대한 새로운 해석을 건축물로 승화시킨 소통의 단지를 조성하였다. 바다와 육지의 경계가 자연현상으로 인하여 생겨난 리아스식 교차방식을 도입하여 자연을 도시로 끌어들이고 자연이 스며든 자리에 이웃과 교류가 일어나는 커뮤니티가 생겨나도록 계획하였다. |

The site is located on the northern part of the Central Commercial district in Sejong City, that is the border of the newborn city and the Jechon stream which is flowing to the Kumgang river. We tried to redefine the border and represent its characteristics. The design motive derived from a rias coast, which is a coastal inlet formed by the partial submergence. The site plan was designed to make the nature merged into the metropolis in which various communications are occurring. |
