본 작품은 노후화된 무등산 컨트리클럽 클럽하우스가 가진 구시대적 외관과 비효율적/언밸런스한 내부 공간, 과도한 장식적 요소가 가지는 한계점을 극복하고자 시작되었습니다.
우리는 단순한 수리와 보완을 넘어 '자연과의 조화', '절제된 미학', '시간을 초월하는 가치'를 핵심 철학으로 삼아, 휴식과 영감을 주는 클럽하우스로의 재탄생을 목표로
"비움으로서 자연을 포용하는 공간 (Minimalism Embracing Nature)"을 컨셉으로 하였습니다.
외관은 복잡함을 덜어낸 모던하고 압도적인 화이트 스크린월(SCREEN WALL)을 형성하여,그 벽면에 빛이 머물도록 하였고, 조명을 통해 그 존재감을 극대화 하였습니다.
로비는 비움과 빛의 조형적 공간으로 재해석하여 ,웅장한 계단과 곡선 벽면, 원형 스카이라이트만을 남기고 나머지 요소들을 지워나갔습니다.
또한, 장식적 요소를 배제하고, 최소한의 마감재사용을 통해 내부로 떨어지는 자연광과 외부의 풍경에 온전히 집중할 수 있도록 하였습니다.

This project began to overcome the limitations of the aging Mudeungsan Country Club Clubhouse, which suffered from an outdated exterior,
inefficient and unbalanced interior spaces, and excessive decorative elements.
Beyond simple repairs and improvements, we aimed for the reimagination of the clubhouse as a place of rest and inspiration.
Core philosophies were 'harmony with nature,' 'restrained aesthetics,' and 'timeless value,' leading to the design concept of "Minimalism Embracing Nature" – creating spaces that embrace nature through emptiness.
For the exterior, we created a modern, commanding white screen wall, stripped of complexity. Light was designed to dwell on its surface, and strategic lighting was used to maximize its presence.
The lobby was reinterpreted as a sculptural space of emptiness and light. We retained only the grand staircase, curved walls, and the circular skylight, meticulously removing all other elements.
By also excluding decorative features and using minimal finishing materials, we enabled a complete focus on the natural light entering the interior and the outdoor scenery.
