Wheelchair users undergo lots of difficulty in passing the threshold in everyday life. Especially at the fire door, high threshold is using for preventing from spreading fire. But when a disaster occurs, these high thresholds make wheelchair users harder to quickly evacuate. We solve this problem by making thresholds be pressed when wheelchair users passing by. After wheelchair passed, pressed thresholds comes back its shape and do original function. The idea can also be applied to general thresholds and can be used to move wheeled objects, such as strollers, carriers, as well as wheelchairs. |
