In Korea, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and survival rates for cardiac arrest patients are significantly low in public places, including urban centers and beaches since it is difficult for people who have not received CPR training to perform the correct behavior. According to data presented by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2017, the highest level of cardiopulmonary resuscitation for the general public is only 21%. To increase the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients regardless of their locations, I designed a product that helps any ordinary people who are not trained in CPR to respond accurately within golden time (four minutes after cardiac arrest). |
